Me, a Missionary?
Have you ever thought of yourself as a missionary? Through this three-week series, we will explore how Jesus calls his followers of today to live missionally each and every day.
Missionary to the World
Saturday January 28
Sunday January 29
In Matthew 28:16-20, Jesus called his followers to "make disciples of all nations." This calling was not limited to those first followers of Jesus. We who have been saved by God's grace in Jesus Christ are called to still have a global view of our Christian mission. Come and hear how Jesus calls us to be missionaries to the world.
Missionary to My Community
Saturday February 4
Sunday February 5
In Acts 1:1-11, Jesus tells his followers that they will be his witnesses "in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." They were to start their mission work right where they were at the time. We are called to do the same...to be missionaries right where we are. Our community, our neighborhoods, our workplaces are territories for our daily mission work. Come and see how you can be a missionary right where you are on a daily basis.
Missionary to My Family
Saturday February 11
Sunday February 12
For many of us, the place to start our mission work is with the people who are closest to us...our family. In our daily interactions with other family members, we can be living witnesses to the love, mercy and grace of Jesus Christ. As we remember a jailer in a place called Philippi in Acts 16:22-34, we will learn how he brought Christ into the lives of his family members.
